Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– The Regulation on the procedure for determining the minimum number of notary posts in a notarial district was approved.
According to this, if the number of private notaries in a notarial district is less than the established minimum number of notary posts in the relevant district, then a notary public position is established.
The minimum number of notary posts in a notarial district is determined by the Ministry of Justice.
An unlimited number of private notaries can be created in a notarial district
In each notarial district, at least one notary public must carry out activities. When determining the minimum number of notary posts, the following criteria are taken into account:
- the average monthly number of notarial acts performed by notaries of the notarial district for the last 3 years (300 - 400 notarial acts per notary); -
- population in the notarial district:
- in notarial districts established within the boundaries of the city of Tashkent, in the city of Nukus and regional centers - one notary for no more than 10 thousand people;
- in notarial districts established within the boundaries of cities of regional subordination - one notary for no more than 25 thousand people;
- in notarial districts established within the boundaries of rural areas - one notary for no more than 30 thousand people.
