Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 26 May, the Government Commission for the Development of Exports and Investments under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and as part of the heads of ministries, departments, industry associations and commercial banks left for Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region for working with entrepreneurs and exporters and solving problematic issues that they face in the course of production and export activities.

The work was carried out by visiting enterprises, communicating with entrepreneurs and studying the current state of production facilities. Prospects for expanding enterprises by increasing production volumes and building up value chains by mastering the production of new high-tech products were discussed directly at the local level.

During the visit to the region, an open dialogue was organized with entrepreneurs and exporters, the purpose of which was to discuss and solve business problems through their comprehensive analysis and operational study with the involvement of responsible government agencies.

More than 100 entrepreneurs took part in the event. In total, during the dialogue, 46 applications were received, of which 28 were related to the issues of obtaining credit resources, 4 - with the allocation of land plots, empty buildings and structures, 3 - with the prolongation of interest payments on previously received loans, 3 - with obtaining certificates, licenses and permits, 8 - with tax and customs regulation and other issues.

After analyzing each voiced problem and developing an algorithm for its practical solution, the leadership of the Government Commission gave targeted instructions for implementation, indicating specific performers and deadlines.

Also, the responsible heads of ministries, departments, commercial banks and local authorities were instructed to intensify targeted work with entrepreneurs in order to identify additional opportunities for increasing production capacities, developing industries, increasing the efficiency of using the economic potential of free economic and small industrial zones, while paying special attention to supporting youth entrepreneurship.

Responsibility for the implementation of systemic control over the execution of orders of the Government Commission is assigned to the Inspectorate for Monitoring the Implementation of Investment Projects and Foreign Trade under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
