Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekneftegaz is implementing an investment project “Modernization of a gas purification unit using zeolite at the Shurtan headworks” worth US$15.25 million.
The unit for gas purification from sulfur compounds using zeolite consists of 5 blocks. The cleaned and dried gas is transferred to the propane-butane mixture production plant, and the regeneration gas used for zeolite desorption to the gas purification unit using amine. The device was launched in 1985-1997.
The project stipulates the modernization of treatment facilities using outdated zeolite, its replacement with new modern technological equipment, which will allow to clean 20.0 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year from sulfur compounds and improve its quality.
Within the framework of the contracts, for the implementation of the import purchase project, high-temperature ball valves manufactured by the German company Borsig ValveTech GmbH were supplied, the installation of which has now been completed.
At the same time, work is underway to supply ball valves and gate valves manufactured at the Chinese plant HUA YING VALVE CO. LTD ", for the commissioning of the 5th unit notosis gas separator.
Domestic contracts have been concluded with such enterprises and factories as Bars SSS, ProfInpex, O'zelektroapparat-Elektroshield, Uzbekkhimmash Zavodi, SITAN, which produce joint heat exchange equipment, furnace internal parts, crude gas separator, condenser electrical equipment, automated control system equipment, measuring and automatic devices.
Currently, a contract is being drawn up with domestic enterprises for the supply of pipeline products within the framework of the project. The assembly of high-temperature ball valves supplied by the Czech company was completed and zeolite blocks were put into operation.
To date, the general contractor, Mubarekneftegazmontazh, has completed 73.0 percent of construction work. Construction and installation work is planned to be completed in November 2021.
