An extended working meeting of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 13 June, under the leadership of the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, an expanded working meeting of the Ministry was held.

The agenda included the implementation of agreements reached during the visits of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China and the United Arab Emirates, as well as during the visit of the President of South Korea to Uzbekistan.

In this context, the need for systematic and regular monitoring of the state of implementation of existing projects and initiatives, as well as prompt response to emerging issues involving the relevant ministries and departments in order to achieve tangible results in the near future, was noted.

Separately, measures were discussed for the prompt execution of instructions given by the Head of State regarding the comprehensive development of the Pskent district of Tashkent region, with a view to organizing the active work of the heads and staff of the Ministry on site visits, detailed study of the tasks set and daily monitoring of the progress achieved.

They also touched upon a wide range of issues related to ensuring the execution of instructions and tasks assigned to the Ministry during a conference call held in the Cabinet of Ministers on 11 June, and constructive suggestions were made to improve the effectiveness of decisions made on 4 June meetings of the Council on tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign trade, and responsible managers and employees are identified for each direction.
