An Automotive Components Manufacturing Facility Is Being Built in Ferghana with the Participation of a Korean Company
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Construction is actively underway in Ferghana Region on an automotive components manufacturing facility located within the Kuvasay branch of the Kokand Free Economic Zone, in the Pakana neighborhood.
The project is being implemented jointly with Hansae Mobility, a company from the Republic of Korea.
On 12 December, Deputy Hokim of the region Sherzodjon Polvonov received the company’s Executive Director, John Dae Won.
At the new facility, which involves an investment of US$30 million, 120 jobs are planned to be created at the initial stage, with total employment expected to exceed 200 in the future. The launch of production is scheduled for 2026.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current progress of the project, including adherence to established timelines, the recruitment and training of qualified specialists, and the continuation of cooperation based on mutual trust.
Executive Director John Dae Won noted the active pace of construction and expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation provided. The sides agreed on measures to ensure the project is launched within the planned timeframe.
