American professor to teach at Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A briefing was held at the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers in conjunction with the Embassy of the United States of America. The leadership and staff of the institute, teachers and students, representatives of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan took part in the briefing.
The main purpose of the ceremony was to get to know the Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) and introduce the Fulbright Engineering Project Specialist, Ph.D. Samantha Chadwick.
Johnna Kramb, Culture and Education Counselor at the US Embassy in Uzbekistan, spoke about the activities carried out in collaboration with the educational system of Uzbekistan and introduced those present with the goal of short-term training courses expected from organized. She thanked the administration of the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers, as well as the head of the Department of Economics and Management, M. M. Agzamova, and the assistant of the department, D. R. Umarova, for their active participation in the exchange projects conducted by the US Department of State, including the Fulbright Program.
The Institute’s specialists expressed their views on the Fulbright short-term international training program “Transport Logistics Management” organized in TashIIT (September 16 - October 19).
During the visit, Johnna Kramb and Samantha Chadwick met with Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Yadgor Ruzmetov and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Abdulaziz Gulamov.
