Amendments Made to Uzbekistan’s 2025 State Budget Law

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law introducing amendments to the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025.”

The new amendments allocate additional funds for the development of education, healthcare, culture, and sports, as well as for financing initiatives under the “From Poverty to Prosperity” program, and for improving energy efficiency in apartment buildings and social institutions.

The changes also address the size of the Cabinet of Ministers’ reserve fund, the volume of transfers from the State Budget to government-targeted funds, and the revenues and expenditures of these funds.

To enhance the targeted use and effectiveness of budgetary resources, part of the funds will be optimized and redirected to additional expenditures, which will also contribute to strengthening budgetary discipline.
