Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country to France.

On 29 June, Sardor Rustambaev was appointed to the post of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the French Republic.

Rustambaev previously worked as the head of the department for the Office for Global Policy and Security of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.

On 29 June 2018, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Latvia Badriddin Abidov left from Tashkent to Riga.

Prior to that, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the head of the Division for Cooperation with European Countries and the institutions of the European Union.
