Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Hellenic Republic (with residence in Rome) Otabek Akbarov met in Athens with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Dendias.
The sides reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Greek relations in all areas of the mutual agenda.
Nikos Dendias noted that Uzbekistan plays an important role in the Central Asian region. Greece is interested in developing dialogue and interaction with Uzbekistan on bilateral and multilateral issues.
An exchange of views took place on the agenda and schedule of upcoming joint events, in particular, the next round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministry, the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Other issues of mutual interest were also considered at the meeting.
