Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullayev Presents Credentials in Greece

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abat Fayzullayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Hellenic Republic with residence in Rome, has presented his credentials to President of Greece Konstantinos Tasoulas, the Dunyo news agency reports.

During the ceremony, the Greek head of state warmly congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors and wished them success in their professional endeavors, expressing hope that they would make a meaningful contribution to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations.

In a brief bilateral meeting held after the ceremony, the President of Greece noted that amid escalating geopolitical tensions, Uzbekistan’s balanced diplomatic policy plays an important role in strengthening regional stability and enhancing international trust.

He emphasized that bilateral relations with Uzbekistan have reached a new level, creating fresh opportunities for expanding political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

It should be noted that since November 2023, Abat Fayzullayev has served as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Italy and as the country’s Permanent Representative to international organizations in Rome, including FAO, the UNFCCC and UNODC.

Since December 2024, he has also held the post of Ambassador to Cyprus, since February 2025 — to Malta, and since March of this year — to San Marino.
