Ambassador of Latvia completes his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan
Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the diplomat.
According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, during the meeting the parties exchanged views on the upcoming joint events.
The Uzbek side noted the constructive contribution of the Ambassador to strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and Latvia in connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission.
Over the past 3.5 years, Uzbek-Latvian cooperation has been actively developed and strengthened. Fruitful negotiations at the highest level during the visit of the President of Latvia Andris Berzins to Uzbekistan in May 2014 gave a new impetus to bilateral cooperation. Intensive contacts were also held at the level of ministries and departments, business circles, representatives of culture, education and other spheres of the two countries.
Edgars Bondars, for his part, thanked for created favorable conditions for his work as an Ambassador in Uzbekistan.
