Ambassador India holds talks with head of Uztekstilprom
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 April, Uztekstilprom Association hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Vinod Kumar, in connection with the completion of the mission of the ambassador.
The parties noted the fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the trade, economic, investment and scientific fields. A high assessment was made of the Ambassador’s activities in enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Uzbek and Indian business circles in the textile industry.
In particular, with the assistance of Mr. Kumar, large investment projects are being implemented in the republic with the participation of leading Indian companies, established cooperative ties with the Ministry of Textiles of India and other textile Institutes of India.
Noting the high level of cooperation between the countries, the Ambassador expressed his readiness, within his competence, to continue to fully support the development of the textile and garment and knitwear industry.
In particular, the Embassy will assist in improving the skills of industry specialists through training in India on the Indian Economic and Technological Cooperation Program (ITEC) of the Government of the Republic of India.
