AMALT Plans to Open a Dispatch and Support Center in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit by the Uzbekistan delegation to the United States, a high-level meeting was held between the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and the Moldovan-American Logistics and Transport Association (AMALT) to strengthen business cooperation, attract investment, and establish an operational hub in Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan Farhod Ibragimov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, as well as AMALT Group representatives: Nova Lines President Mihai Sava, C1 Management Executive Director and President Nicolae Korobka, Forsage Logistics Founder Vadim Savka, CargoBoss Inc Founder Yuri Postolachi, and Schwarz Logistics Corp President Mihai Dercachi.
The parties discussed the creation of a transport operations center in Uzbekistan, which will provide dispatching, accounting, compliance, and customer support services for Moldovan companies operating in the U.S. market.
The project is expected to create up to 400 new jobs, leveraging the high professional potential of Uzbek specialists.
Special attention was given to expanding investment cooperation between Moldovan entrepreneurs and Uzbekistan in outsourcing and technology, as well as supporting startups. AMALT expressed readiness to invest in digital transport solutions, educational programs, and local accelerators that will integrate Uzbek innovations into the U.S. ecosystem.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed on priority areas of cooperation, identified investment priorities, and outlined a roadmap for developing Uzbekistan’s technological ecosystem, aimed at stimulating economic growth and supporting innovation.
AMALT is a non-profit association uniting ten Moldovan-American transport companies with a combined annual turnover exceeding $600 million and more than 2,000 employees. Key partners of the association include Amazon, the U.S. Armed Forces, and FEMA. Currently, AMALT manages delivery centers in Moldova, Poland, and the United States, viewing Uzbekistan as a promising direction for regional expansion.
