Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 October, the ceremony of Alumni Meeting of KOICA Trainees for 2019 took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Tashkent, organized by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Uzbekistan.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan Mr. Kang, Jae-kwon, Deputy Minister of Labour Mr. Yakubov Nodirbek, President of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies Mr. Teshabaev Tulkin attended the ceremony, as well as representatives of the ministers and agencies of our country, trainees of the programs in regard to diplomacy, law, education, culture, geodetics and mapping, finance, management of water resources, forest management, ICT, public health, small and medium entrepreneurship.
The Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Uzbekistan Mr. Son Sung Il expressed his appreciation in cooperation and underlined the role and importance of KOICA trainees.
Deputy Minister of Labour Mr. Yakubov N. made a point of strategic partnership of Korea and Uzbekistan, referring to common projects of KOICA in Uzbekistan, in the field of Vocational training centers in Tashkent, Shakhrisabz, Ferghana and Urgench.
Ambassador Mr. Kang, Jae-kwon the Embassy of the Republic of Korea also emphasized that Korea and Uzbekistan are brothers’ countries. Ambassador Mr. Kang also made a point of consolidation of collaboration and partnership between two countries.
In the ceremony the award of the best practice in 2018 KOICA Global training was presented to Mr. Rustamov Foziljon who participated “Financial Planning and Forecasting the Budget for Uzbekistan” program, Ms. Bakoeva Saodat, who participated “Training Course for the New Generation of Korean Language” program, and the Ms. Kakhramonova Khamidakhon, who won the first place of the “Quiz on Korea” finals, while attending “Korean Language and Culture Experts” program, presented her training experience.
Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Uzbekistan was established in 1991 to render gratuitous support for developing countries and technical cooperation on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Korea.
