Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Alumni fund was established in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the creation of alumni fund created at the expense of charitable funds of educational institutions that achieved high achievements” of 17 April 2019 and approved its charter.
According to the regulations, the fund will be directed towards creating the necessary conditions for further strengthening the knowledge of talented students. In particular, for the purchase of educational, scientific literature and equipment, material incentives for scientific research of talented young people, decent support for student participation in district, regional, national and international competitions, material support for young people from low-income families.
“Today, graduates of the institute work in positions of responsibility throughout the country in various organizations, enterprises and institutions,” said the general director of NGMK, the rector of NGGI Kuvandik Sanakulov. “We are especially proud that they are members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of prestigious institutions of higher education and large industrial enterprises. At the same time, the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine considers the institute its strong scientific, technical and personnel base and constantly financially and spiritually supports its activities. In recent years, thousands of graduates of the institute work in the combine system, 258 of whom today operate in various managerial positions.
“I am proud that I am one of the first graduates of the only higher educational institution in Central Asia - the Navoi State Mining Institute,” said Doctor of Technical Sciences, director of the branch of the Russian Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education Pharhodbek Umarov. - With all my heart I join this good initiative.
At the end of the meeting, the Alumni Council was formed to further use the fund’s resources and improve its activities.
