Ali Ihsan Caglar: TIKA allocated about US$30 million to support projects in Uzbekistan in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 5 February 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the head of the Representative Office of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA) in Tashkent Ali Ihsan Caglar, completing his mission in our country.

The parties highly appreciated the established level of interaction between Uzbekistan and TIKA, separately highlighting the areas of healthcare and agriculture, as well as implementing programs for the development of small and medium-sized businesses and advanced training of specialists in various fields. In particular, over the past year, the agency allocated about US$30 million to support projects in Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was paid to the cultural and humanitarian aspect of cooperation. The successful holding in Tashkent, on 20-29 September 2019, of the exhibition and conference “Uzbekistan is timeless culture”, at which the works of Uzbek and Turkish artists were presented, was emphasized.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the personal contribution of the head of the Representative Office Ali Ihsan Caglar to the development of Uzbek-Turkish relations and wished him success in his future work.

Ali Ihsan Caglar emphasized his sincere appreciation to the Uzbek side for the comprehensive support of his activities as head of the TIKA Representative Office in Tashkent.
