Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 23 March, Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Chairman of the Yuksalish movement Akmal Burkhanov at a session of the International Press Club devoted to the analysis of the struggle around the world against COVID-19, proposed strengthening quarantine measures in due to the growing number of coronavirus infected.
In particular, the leader of the Yuksalish movement suggested:
- introduce emergency in Tashkent and Tashkent region for the beginning
- partial mobilization of the army, which will be ready to conduct proper monitoring of compliance with quarantine conditions
- restriction throughout the republic of rail, air, bus and road passenger transport between cities and regions
- creation of mobile points and laboratories in the regions, especially in remote areas of the country, providing them with portable express tests for coronavirus
- state stimulation of the private sector on the import and implementation of rapid tests on Covid-19;
- to carry out mandatory free disinfection of premises in all organizations and institutions, public places (transport, places of leisure, shopping centers, markets, gas stations, entrances of multi-storey buildings)
- reorientation of individual enterprises to the production of necessary products, for example, personal protective equipment (masks, respirators, etc.), antiseptic agents, drugs and equipment (mechanical ventilation apparatus);
- expansion of systems for obtaining remote services, including in the regions, ordering the necessary medical preparations and products, food products and other essential goods.
