Akgul Amanmurodova beaten by Kvitova
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Akgul Amanmurodova of Uzbekistan lost to defending Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic in straight sets in the first round of Wimbledon.
Amanmurodova was leading 4-1 in the first set, but lost the set 4:6. In the second set, Kvitova took control of the set and won 6:4.
Kvitova will take on either Britain's Elena Baltacha or Karin Knapp of Italy in next round.
