Akfa Group Begins Construction of Large Factory in Kentucky

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Akfa Group, in partnership with a Turkish company, has begun construction of a major manufacturing complex in the state of Kentucky, USA.

This was announced by the founder of the group, Jahongir Artykhojaev, in an interview with the “Menimcha” program on the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel.

According to Artykhojaev, the new factory will produce aluminum products, automotive components, parts for solar panels, and window structures.

“We have started building a plant that will manufacture aluminum products, car parts, solar panel components, and windows. In the first year, it will attract US$105 million in investment. Overall, the total investment in the factory in the U.S. will amount to US$600 million,” Artykhojaev noted.

The project will become Akfa Group’s first major manufacturing facility outside Uzbekistan and is aimed at expanding the company’s presence in the North American market.
