AirAsia X to Promote Uzbekistan’s Tourism Potential Across ASEAN Countries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, held a meeting with Benjamin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian airline AirAsia X.

The talks focused on plans to launch a joint marketing campaign timed to the opening of direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Tashkent, with the inaugural flight scheduled for 14 November 2025. The campaign will feature a series of promotional events across key ASEAN markets aimed at showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential.

Both parties expressed confidence that cooperation with AirAsia X will open up new opportunities for the development of the tourism industry and serve as a major driver for increasing tourist flows, thereby contributing to the further economic growth of both countries.
