AIMK Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with UK Government
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 September 2019, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan (AIMK) , the British Embassy in Tashkent and the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Cooperation under the memorandum involves a series of consultations and seminars to improve the skills of the press services of state bodies and organizations of Uzbekistan. In particular, it envisages the exchange of experience and support for the development of strategic communications in the republic, the establishment of interagency communication and data exchange processes, the holding of seminars to build the capacity of press officers of key ministries, departments and organizations, and other events aimed at improving public access to information and ensuring openness of government bodies.
The seminars are planned to be held at AIMK together with experts from the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with the support of the British Embassy in Tashkent. They will focus on strengthening interagency communications, campaigning, strategic communications, digital broadcasting, media work and communication planning.
