Aidar Akhtareev Appointed as Representative of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Aidar Akhtareev has been appointed as the Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan by decree of Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov. He will officially assume office on January 9, 2026, for a term of three years.
Akhtareev is a native of Kazan.
He began his professional career as a junior research associate at Kazan Federal University.
Later, he headed the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan for an extended period, overseeing foreign economic and interregional cooperation.
The Tatarstan Representative Office in Uzbekistan is tasked with promoting and developing bilateral ties between the regions in economic, industrial, investment, scientific, technical, and humanitarian spheres.
His work is expected to facilitate the implementation of joint projects, expand business contacts, and deepen the partnership between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan.
