AI lessons to be introduced in Uzbekistan’s high schools from new academic year
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from the new academic year, high school students in Uzbekistan will have classes on artificial intelligence. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a video conference dedicated to the implementation of educational reforms and future priorities.
To fully introduce the course, around 2,000 classrooms need to be equipped with modern computers and 6,300 interactive whiteboards.
Relevant government agencies have been instructed to allocate the necessary funds in next year’s state budget.
As part of this initiative, republican, regional, and district-level “Future” centers will be established on the basis of 219 local “Schools of the Harmonious Generation,” the sports society “Yoshlik,” the Youth Center, and the Organization of Children of Uzbekistan.
These centers will work closely with schools, organize targeted activities, and engage students in clubs focused on engineering, science, culture, arts, reading, sports, and ecology, thus creating opportunities for the comprehensive development of young people.
