Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 September, Kabul hosted the first conference dedicated to attracting investment in Afghanistan’s energy sector and supporting its development.

The forum gathered representatives of the Afghan government, delegations from the energy ministries of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions.

Following the conference, a financial agreement was signed for the construction of power transmission lines and substations with voltages of 220–500 kV in Afghanistan.
