Afrosiyob ticket prices go up from 1 November

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) plans to increase the cost of travel documents for high-speed Afrosiyob trains from 1 November 2018. This was stated in the message of the company.

“This is a compulsory measure to cover all costs of electricity, raw materials, spare parts and pay competitive salaries for staff,” the company stressed.

 “The upcoming price adjustment will allow to keep the number of operating routes and bring the profitability of passenger traffic to the break-even point on socially significant destinations,” the company said.

At the same time, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari did disclose the size of price hike.

Today 4 trains of the high-speed trains “AFROSIYOB” are running in the directions Tashkent-Bukhara-Tashkent, Tashkent-Shakhrisabz-Tashkent, Tashkent-Samarkand-Tashkent.
