Afghan Investor to Launch Logistics Venture in Namangan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Afghan entrepreneur Mansoor Sekander is set to establish a joint logistics enterprise in Namangan Region, focusing on transport and freight operations. The plan was discussed during a meeting with Namangan’s hokim, Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov.
The initiative follows a regional delegation visit to Afghanistan from March 28–30, 2026, which included business forums and meetings with local entrepreneurs in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif. During the visit, 27 agreements totaling US$621.3 million were signed, including a joint investment project between Namangan’s “Golden Egg of Namangan” and Afghanistan’s “Ibrahim Mansoor” companies.
The Afghan investor evaluated project conditions, noting Namangan’s strategic location and the stable operation of border customs posts with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Initially, the enterprise will deploy 50 freight vehicles, with plans to expand to 1,000 heavy transport units within a year.
Officials discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between Namangan and Afghan entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of logistics for transporting goods from China and Russia to Afghanistan.
The meeting was held in a constructive and amicable atmosphere, laying a strong foundation for bilateral business development.
