Afghan Drug Courier Caught with 10 kg of Hashish in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Officers of the Border Troops of the State Security Service (SSS) of Uzbekistan detained an Afghan national attempting to illegally smuggle a large shipment of narcotics across the Amu Darya River.
The man, born in 1974 and residing in Kunduz province, was apprehended while crossing the state border by boat. During the search, authorities discovered two bags containing 10 bundles of hashish weighing a total of 10 kg 354 g. The seized substances were processed according to established procedural norms.
A criminal case has been opened by the investigative department of the SSS in Surkhandarya region. Measures are currently being taken to identify other individuals involved in the crime.
