AFC Asian Cup: Uzbekistan beats Oman

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national football team defeated Oman with a score of 2: 1 in the first match of Group F of the AFC Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Hector Cooper’s side opened the score on 34 minutes of the match. Uzbekistan national team’s captain Odil Akhmedov scored a goal from a free-kick.

On 72 minutes, Muhsen Al-Gassani leveled the score. On 85 minutes, Eldor Shomurodov scored fot Uzbekistan to claim all three points/

In another match of group F, the Japanese team defeated Turkmenistan with a score of 3: 2.

On 13 January, Uzbekistan’s national team will play against Turkmenistan, while Oman will face Japan.
