Admission Procedure to Undergraduate Programs Defined in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved the Regulation on Admission to Undergraduate Programs at Higher Educational Institutions (Resolution No. 578 of 13 September 2025).

The document sets out the principles for organizing the admission campaign and regulates the enrollment process for applicants to the country’s universities.

Admission to undergraduate programs is carried out on the basis of state scholarships, including educational grants in fields of study approved by presidential decrees, as well as in line with the general admission parameters established by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Entrance examinations consist of two sections. The first section is mandatory for all applicants and includes tests in the native language, mathematics, and the history of Uzbekistan. The second section is chosen by the applicant and involves testing in two subjects relevant to the chosen field of study, or professional (creative) examinations.

The admission process takes place in two stages. The first stage, from 5 to 25 June, involves selecting the subject combination, the language of instruction, and the test location. The second stage, held within 15 days after the completion of tests, requires applicants to choose the university, field of study, mode of study, and order of priority.

Applicants receive their test scores the day after taking the exams.

Final admission results — whether the applicant is recommended for enrollment or not — are published on the official website of the Agency for Knowledge and Qualifications Assessment within a week after the conclusion of the second stage.
