Administrative Warnings Introduced in Uzbekistan for Minor Traffic Violations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Amendments have been introduced to the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan providing for the application of administrative warnings for minor violations of traffic rules, the Ministry of Justice reported.
An administrative warning is an official reprimand issued in written or electronic form, informing the individual of the inadmissibility of unlawful conduct.
This measure applies to citizens who have committed violations предусмотренные by Parts 1 and 2 of Article 125, concerning breaches of vehicle operation rules; Articles 128-1 and 128-2, relating to the use by drivers of mobile phones or displays for viewing television or video content while driving; Article 128-6, covering violations of stopping or parking rules; Article 135-1, regarding non-compliance with mandatory civil liability insurance requirements for vehicle owners; as well as Parts 1 and 2 of Article 138, which address violations of traffic rules by pedestrians and other road users.
An administrative warning may be applied only if the individual shows genuine remorse and if there are no indications of other administrative offenses.
At the same time, the same person may not receive an administrative warning more than once within a single calendar year.
The new measure is aimed at encouraging responsible behavior among road users and reducing the number of repeat violations.
