Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 26 March, the President of Uzbekistan signed Law, which envisages amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility regarding violations of the rules for combating the epidemic.
In particular, for being in public places without a mask in conditions of the emergence and spread of quarantine infections, contrary to special requirements, a fine of up to 5 sizes of base estimated value (1,115,000 soums) is imposed.
In addition, violation of mandatory quarantine rules, including:
non-compliance with the internal routine of a medical institution;
non-fulfillment without good reason of requirements for medical examination and treatment;
failure to comply with the requirements for arriving at places designated for quarantine and not leaving these places in a specified period;
disclosure of information about persons with whom there was contact and places of visit at a time of risk of infection of the disease;
non-compliance with other legal requirements of sanitary inspection authorities.
For this, a fine for citizens will be qua from 20 to 30 sizes of base estimated value (4 460 000 - 6 690 000 soums), for officials - from 30 to 50 sizes of base estimated value (6 690 000 - 11 150 000 soums).
A new compulsory medical measure in the form of treatment or quarantine has also been introduced. It can be applied in the presence of appropriate medical grounds by the sanitary inspection authorities in relation to a person who has committed a quarantine offense related to a violation of the rules for combating epidemics. It is used together with the appointment of an administrative penalty for a period of up to 30 days.
