Additional benefits are established for labor migrants

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government adopted a resolution “On additional measures to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan engaged in temporary labor activities abroad”.

According to the resolution, before 1 January 2020, centers for pre-departure orientation of citizens going to work abroad will be created. For this, grants in the amount of not more than 4 basic calculated values per month will be allocated for each student.

Also, insurance is provided on a preferential basis for the following types of insurance:

- insurance of risks of refusal to grant a patent and other permits for employment;

- insurance of risks of non-repayment of loans issued to pay for transport and other expenses for employment abroad;

- voluntary health insurance.

In accordance with the resolution, measures will be taken for free vocational training, retraining and advanced training of unemployed and unemployed labor migrants who have returned to their homeland by providing grants from the Employment Assistance Fund.

Also, in 2020-2021, representative offices of the Agency for External Labor Migration will be opened in the cities of Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Volgograd, Pyatigorsk, Istanbul, Nur-Sultan, Dubai.
