Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank hosted another roundtable discussion dedicated to the activities in the sphere of installment trade (BNPL), with the participation of representatives of the Central Bank, BNPL organizations, banks, microfinance institutions, and other stakeholders.

During the meeting, the Central Bank presented a report on regulatory mechanisms for the installment trade market, drawing on Singapore’s experience.

In particular, market participants were introduced to the provisions of the Code of Ethics, which includes requirements mandatory for all players, measures aimed at mitigating potential risks, the procedure and stages of accreditation, as well as the exchange of information with credit bureaus.

In addition, participants shared their views and practical experiences on various issues arising in this area. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue holding such roundtables in the future.
