Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan is actively working on issues of cooperation on the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the meetings and negotiations of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Nagoya as part of an official visit to Japan on 17-20 December 2019.

So, on 17 January, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan held meetings in Nagoya with representatives of the Nagoya City Hall, Aichi Prefecture, the Parliament of Nagoya, Nagoya University, Nagoya City University, the Economic Federation of the Central District of Japan (unites 5 prefectures, including Aichi), Trade and Nagoya Chamber of Industry, Nagoya Youth Association, AIM Corporation, Nippon Travel Agency Travel Company.

During the meetings, specific agreements were reached on joint implementation of projects in the fields of economics, tourism, education and science, health, culture and sports.

In particular, they discussed the organization of the visit of deputies of the Nagoya Parliament to Uzbekistan this year, the holding of wide advertising campaigns on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the holding of the Tashkent-Nagoya cooperation forum, the organization of scientific and educational and academic exchanges, and the participation of pupils of Uzbek children's football schools in international tournament in Nagoya and others.

Holding these events will undoubtedly contribute to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Nagoya in the fields of economy, trade, investment, science and education, culture and tourism.

The intensification of interaction between Uzbekistan and Japan in various fields, including at the interregional level, is a direct result and another confirmation of the high efficiency and practical significance of the negotiations held by the Head of Uzbekistan in Japan in December last year.
