Accident in Kashkadarya Region: One Dead, Two Hospitalized

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 November, a collision occurred between a Nexia 2 and a Cobalt at the 1,257th kilometer of the M-39 Tashkent–Termez highway in Guzar district, Kashkadarya region.

As a result of the accident, one passenger died at the scene, while two others sustained various injuries and were hospitalized, according to the Road Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

An investigation has been opened under Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan — violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation. The investigation is ongoing.

Authorities urged citizens to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media regarding the number of victims and fatalities.
