About 975 billion soums to be spent on construction and repair of schools in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on measures to implement the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019.

The resolution approved a targeted program for construction, reconstruction, overhaul and equipment of educational institutions in 2019, for implementation of which funds for 975 billion soums will be allocated.

The targeted program envisages the construction, reconstruction, overhaul and equipment of 506 objects. In particular, in 2019, funds for 128.97 billion soums will be directed to the construction of 22 new schools.

The funds for reconstruction of educational institutions will be allocated for 453.49 billion soums and overhaul - 252.5 billion soums.

In Karakalpakstan, 44.4 billion soums are planned to be allocated for the construction, reconstruction, overhaul and equipment of schools, 74.44 billion soums in Andijan region, 33.91 billion soums in Bukhara region, 40.62 billion soums in Jizzakh region, in Kashkadarya region - 86.2 billion soums.

74.54 billion soums will be directed to these purposes in Namangan region, 24.54 billion soums in Navoi region, 97.85 billion soums in Samarkand region, 24.1 billion soums in Syrdarya region, 70.81 billion soums in Surkhandarya region, 73.77 billion soums in Tashkent region, 52.27 billion soums in Khorezm region, 74.28 billion soums in Ferghana region and 63.2 billion soums in Tashkent city.
