About 848 privatized in Uzbekistan in 2015

About 848 enterprises and objects (including program and non-program objects) were privatized in January-December 2015, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said quoting data of the State Committee for Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition.
In the reporting period the greatest number of objects was privatized in Tashkent region – 128, Namangan region - 108, Ferghana region – 100, Andijan region - 82, Kashkadarya region – 54, Jizzakh region – 53, and Surkhandarya region - 52.
In the structure of privatized state property the highest share falls upon projects of local authorities – 478 objects.
Receipts of money from asset sales amounted to 103.2 billion soums in January-December 2015.The most part of receipts received from asset sales was marked in the city of Tashkent (61% of total receipts), Tashkent region (11.6%), Fergana region (4.9%), Namangan region (4.4%), Khorezm region (4%), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.5%).
