About 72,400 new small enterprises and micro-firms created in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In January-September 2019, 72,400 new small enterprises and micro-firms (without dekhan farms and farms) were again created in Uzbekistan, which is 1.9 times more than the same period of 2018, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The largest number of small enterprises and micro-firms were created in the field of trade (38.6%), industries (21.8%), construction (10.0%), agriculture, forestry and fisheries (7.5%), accommodation services and food (7.5%), transportation and storage (3.3%).

In January - September 2019, in the regional context, the largest indicator of the number of newly created small enterprises and micro-firms reached 14485 units in the city of Tashkent, 7124 units in Tashkent region, and 6166 units in Samarkand region. In Ferghana region, this indicator reached 5747 units, Bukhara - 5097 units, Navoi - 5092 units, Andijan, Namangan, Kashkadarya, Khorezm, Surkhandarya and Jizzakh regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, this indicator is noted at an average level, in the range of 4546 -2993 units At a low level, this indicator was recorded in Syrdarya region - 2031 units.

In the context of regions, the largest share is in the city of Tashkent and makes up 20.0% in the total number of newly created small enterprises and microfirms, in Tashkent region –9.8%, Samarkand region –– 8.5%, Ferghana region –– 7.9% Bukhara region - 7.0%, Navoi region - 7.0%, Andijan region - 6.3%, Namangan region - 6.2%. In Kashkadarya region, the share was 5.8%.

In January-September 2019, the largest increase in newly created small enterprises and microfirms was registered in Uchtepa district - 1902 units, the city of Samarkand - 1881 units and Chilanzar district - 1811 units. In Yunusabad district, this indicator reached 1701 units, Almazar - 1699 units, Bukhara - 1532 units. In Mirzo-Ulugbek district, this indicator was noted at 1525 units.

In January - September 2019, in the regional context, the largest indicator of the number of small businesses (per 1000 people, units) amounted to 27.9 units in the city of Tashkent, 17.1 units in Syrdarya region, and 16.8 in Navoi region units. In Jizzakh region this indicator reached 15.3 units, Tashkent region - 14.7 units, Bukhara region - 14.5 units, Ferghana region - 12.1 units, Andijan region - 11.7 units, Kashkadarya region - 11.5 units, Khorezm region - 10.4 units, Namangan region - 9.9 units. At a low level, this indicator was recorded in the Surkhandarya region - 8.1 units.

The share of small entrepreneurship (business) in January - September 2019 by types of economic activity in industry made up 34.5%, agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 98.5%, construction - 75.6%, investments - 42.1%, trade - 84.3%, export - 25.4%, import - 61.2% and services - 52.1%.

In January-September 2019, the share of small business in GDP amounted to 57.2% (60.9% in January-September 2018).

This decrease is due to an increase in the share of large enterprises in the GDP structure.

In the regional context, the largest share of small business (business) in GRP falls on Jizzakh (83.1%), Surkhandarya (79.8%), Namangan (79.3%), Samarkand (78.8%) and Bukhara (74, 9%) of the region. In the Navoi region, this indicator remains low and equals 31.3%, and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 53.4%.

In the regional context, the largest share of small business in industry was recorded in Namangan (76.6%) region, Tashkent city (66.9%) and Jizzakh region (66.4%).

In construction, in Samarkand (98.5%), Jizzakh (97.8%), Andijan (96.5%) and Syrdarya (96.0%) regions.

In the service sector - in Surkhandarya (72.1%), Ferghana (71.9%), Samarkand (71.3%), Tashkent (70.8%), Bukhara (69.6%) and Kashkadarya (69.4 %) areas.

For investments - in Khorezm (61.7%), Samarkand (61.6%) and Jizzakh (59.8%) regions.

In the regional context, the largest share of small business in the export of products (works, services) falls on Khorezm (91.5%), Namangan (80.5%), Syrdarya (78.7%), Surkhandarya (76.5%), Samarkand (74.7%), Jizzakh (68.7%), Bukhara (66.2%), Andijan (62.1%) and Ferghana (53.9%) regions. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan (19.6%), the share of small business in the export of products (works, services) remains low.

In the regional context, the largest share of small business in the import of products (works, services) falls on the Jizzakh (96.9%), Khorezm (91.2%), Surkhandarya (83.6%), Namangan (83.3%), Ferghana (76.7%) and Syrdarya (75.2%) regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan (72.0%), Navoi (66.7%), Samarkand (66.1%) regions and the city of Tashkent (61.2%) ) In Andijan region (14.8%), the share of small business in the import of products (works, services) remains low.

In the regional context, the largest share of small business in total production amounted to 76.6% in the Namangan region, 66.9% in Tashkent, 66.4% in Jizzakh, 54.5% in Samarkand, 51.2% in Surkhandarya, and Syrdarya - 48.5%, Ferghana - 42.7%, Khorezm - 35.6%, Bukhara - 33.4% and Tashkent regions - 27.0%, the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 23.9%, Andijan region - 23.6% . In Kashkadarya 22.1% and Navoi 12.3% regions, the share of small business remains low.

In the regional context, the largest volume of retail trade was recorded in Tashkent (19.86 trillion soums), Tashkent (11.65 trillion soums), Samarkand (8.38 trillion soums), Ferghana (7.95 trillion soums) , Andijan (7.5 trillion soums), Kashkadarya (6.77 trillion soums) and Surkhandarya (6.29 trillion soums) regions.

In the regional context, the largest volume of construction work was recorded in Tashkent (8.42 trillion soums), Samarkand (3.16 trillion soums), Bukhara (2.87 trillion soums), Kashkadarya (2.79 trillion soums) ), Ferghana (2.7 trillion soums), Tashkent (2.65 trillion soums), Andijan (2.64 trillion soums) and Surkhandarya (2.47 trillion soums) regions.

In the regional context, the largest volume of services was noted in Tashkent (21.42 trillion soums), Tashkent (6.85 trillion soums), Samarkand (6.22 trillion soums), Ferghana (5.75 trillion soums) and Andijan (4.83 trillion soums) regions.
