About 7 Billion Soums Stolen from More Than 2,000 Users via the Humans App — Source

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Funds belonging to more than 2,000 users, totaling approximately 7 billion soums, were stolen in an incident involving the Humans mobile application, a source told Kun.uz.

According to the source, the theft occurred in early December 2025. At that time, Humans and the Paylov payment service publicly accused each other of involvement in the incident.

On 7 January, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan announced the completion of an inspection of Octogram JSC, a payment organization that provided payment services to Humans and operated under the Paylov brand.

Following the inspection, the regulator submitted its findings to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for legal assessment and further action within its statutory authority.

The Central Bank emphasized that affected citizens should file complaints with law enforcement agencies.

As Kun.uz reported, Shokhrukh Giyasov, press secretary of the Minister of Internal Affairs, said that a criminal case has been opened under Article 169, Part 4, paragraph “a” of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which covers theft on an especially large scale. The Investigative Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs is currently conducting preliminary investigative actions.

No official comments have so far been issued by Humans or the Paylov payment service regarding the progress of the investigation.
