About 5,500 Uzbek citizens to perform Umrah pilgrimage in spring

About 5,500 Muslims from Uzbekistan will make Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia during spring season of 2014, the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said.
The committee said that the spring season of Umrah pilgrimage will take from 15 February to 15 May 2014. Each group will stay in Saudi Arabia for 10 days.
Overall, 6000 people will conduct Umrah pilgrimage this spring and during Ramadan. About 400 people, who cannot travel to Saudi Arabia last year, will travel to pilgrimage sight this year.
It added that some 6,000 pilgrims from Uzbekistan will visit holy sights of Mecca and Medina. Uzbekistan booked modern hotels for pilgrims, which are locating near holly sights of two cities.
The group of doctors, cooks and members of the working group will provide various services to piligrims, the committee added.
