About 5.2 Million Foreign Citizens Visited Uzbekistan to See Relatives in the First Eight Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Between January and August 2025, around 5.2 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan to see their relatives — an increase of 1.2 million people, or nearly 29%, compared to the same period last year, according to data from the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Neighboring countries accounted for the largest share of visits: Kyrgyzstan — 1.8 million people, Kazakhstan — 1.5 million, and Tajikistan — 1.4 million.
They were followed by Russia with 353.7 thousand visitors, Türkiye — 30 thousand, and Turkmenistan — 15.8 thousand.
Visits from other countries were significantly lower: China — 4.4 thousand, Azerbaijan — 4.1 thousand, Ukraine — 3.7 thousand, Belarus — 3.4 thousand, the Republic of Korea — 3.3 thousand, Germany — 2.7 thousand, Israel — 2.1 thousand, the United States — 1.9 thousand, and the United Kingdom — 1.4 thousand. Visitors from other countries collectively accounted for 14.5 thousand trips.
