About 298,700 enterprises registered in Uzbekistan

The largest number of enterprises and organizations registered by types of economic activity fell to share of trade (23.0% of total registered), industry (16.7%), construction (8.5%) and agriculture, forestry and fishery (7, 5%), according to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The number of registered commercial enterprises and organizations as of 1 July 2017 reached 243,700 units, of which 79,400 private enterprises, 11,200 - family enterprises, 144,800 - limited liability companies, 0.7 thousand - joint-stock company.

In January-June of 2017, 25,000 enterprises and organizations were registered again (including 23,9 thousand - subjects of small business). A significant number of newly established enterprises and organizations operate in Tashkent (23.3% of all newly registered in the republic), Tashkent region (9.7%), Ferghana region (9.1%) and Samarkand region (8.6%).

According to the types of economic activity of newly registered enterprises and organizations, industry accounted for 25.9%, trade - 19.6%, agriculture and forestry - 14.3%.

In the reporting period, 11,900 enterprises and organizations were liquidated, including 1,700 (14.6% of all liquidated enterprises) using voluntary liquidation procedures.
