About 277,880 legal entities registered in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of registered legal entities in Uzbekistan made up 227,878 units as of 1 July 2015, according to the Single state registrar of enterprises and organizations.

According to the State Statistics Committee, largest number of enterprises is registered in trade and catering (77,020 organizations or 27.72% from total registered enterprises), industry (48,254 or 17.26%), construction (24,905 or 8.96%), agriculture and forestry (22,760 or 8.19%).

About 15,771 new legal entities were registered in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2015. About 28.73% of them were registered in trade and catering sphere, 23.33% - industry and 11.1% - construction sector.

Significant number of newly created enterprises and organizations fell to share of Tashkent city (23.86% of total newly registered companies in Uzbekistan), Tashkent region (10.03%), Samarkand region (8.3%) and Ferghana region (8.11%).
