About 224 enterprises privatized in Uzbekistan in Jan-Sep

About 224 enterprises and objects were privatized in Uzbekistan in January-September 2014 (both programme and off-programme objects), according to data of the State Committee on privatization, demonoplization and development of competition of Uzbekistan.
In the reporting period the greatest number of objects was privatized in the Tashkent region (70 objects), Namangan region (29 objects per each), Navoi region (19 objects), Tashkent city and Surkhandarya region (16 objects each), the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
In the structure of privatized state property the highest share falls upon objects of local authorities – 142 objects.
Receipts of money from privatization and decentralization of objects amounted to 54.7 billion soums in January-September 2014.
The most part of receipts received from decentralization and privatization was marked in the city of Tashkent (57% of total receipts), Tashkent region (17.4%), Republic of Karakalpakstan (4.9%), Bukhara region (4.7%), Khorezm region (3.7%) and Samarkand region (2.5%).
