About 20,700 new enterprises created in Uzbekistan in Jan-Apr
The number of enterprises and organizations, which have ceased their activity, as compared to the same period of the last year, decreased by 5.6% and reached 5,300 units.
As a result, the number of operating enterprises and organizations increased by 15,100 (5.3%) since the beginning of the year and reached to 300,600. The largest share of operating enterprises and organizations was observed in Tashkent city (21.2%), Tashkent region (9.5%), Ferghana region (8.9%) and Andijan region (8.6%).
Out of the total registered enterprises and organizations, the share of operating ones was 95.1% and that of non-operating ones – 4.9%. The share of non -operating enterprises and organizations remained unchanged compared to the beginning of the reporting year.
Out of the total number of operating enterprises and organizations 22.0% fell to share of trade, 17.2% - industry, 8.7% - construction, 7.4% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 6.0% - accommodation and food services, 4.1% - transportation and storage, 2.2% - information and communication, 2.1% - human health and social work, 30.3% - other economic activity.
In January-April 2018, in the number of newly created enterprises and organizations made up 20,692 units, which is 15.0% more than in the same period of the last year.
The largest part of newly created enterprises and organizations were created in Tashkent city (4361 units), Tashkent region (1965 units), Ferghana region (1688 units) and Andijan region (1652 units) and the smallest one - in Syrdarya region (538 units), Khorezm region (713 units) and Navoi region (819 units).
The most part of newly created enterprises were organized in such sectors as trade (4228 units), industry (3985 units), agriculture, forestry and fishing (2353 units) and construction ( 2268 units). The smallest number is observed in human health and social work (467 units), information and communication (482 units) and transportation and storage (744 units).
The decrease in share of operating enterprises and organizations by economic activity, compared with the same period of the last year, is observed in human health and social work activities (-0.9 percentage points), trade (-0.7 pp), which is due to an increase in the share of operating enterprises and organizations in industry (+0.8 pp), construction (+ 0.4 pp), agriculture, forestry and fishing (+0.2 pp), accommodation and food services, as well as other activities (+0.1 pp).
The number of operating commercial enterprises and organizations as of 1 May 2018 amounted to 244,700 units, of which 71,200 units - private enterprises, 13,000 units - family enterprises, 153,200 units - limited liability companies, 0.6 thousand units - joint-stock companies and 6,700 units - other enterprises.
