About 170 objects privatized in Uzbekistan in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-June of 2017, 169 enterprises and facilities were privatized in Uzbekistan (including program and non-program objects), State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said referring to the State Committee on Competition.

In the reporting period, the largest number of objects were privatized in Tashkent region - 50 objects (29.6% of the total number of objects privatized in the republic), Namangan region - 30 objects (17.7%), Surkhandarya region - 20 objects (11.8%), Karakalpakstan and Tashkent city - 14 objects each (8.3%), Khorezm region - 11 objects (6.5%), Andijan region - 10 objects (5.9%).

In the structure of privatized state property, the largest share belonged to the objects of local authorities - 115 objects (68.0% of total number of objects privatized in the republic), the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Public Education - 19 objects (11.2%), Ministry of Finance and NGMK - 3 objects (1.8%).

The receipt of funds from the privatization of state property in January-June 2017 made up 109.9 billion soums.

In the territorial context, the largest part of privatized state property fell to share of Tashkent city (65.1% of total revenues), Tashkent (10.2%), Namangan (6.1%), Kashkadarya (3.6%), Ferghana (3.0%), Bukhara (2.9%) and Karakalpakstan (2.5%).
