Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– Restrictions on the population and businesses imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection continue in Uzbekistan in accordance with the requirements of quarantine zones. This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Committee.
At the same time, an uninterrupted supply of the main types of agricultural and food products to the dekhkan markets of Tashkent, Nukus, regional and district centers was established. For residents living far from markets and in remote areas, mobile fairs are regularly organized. Everywhere installed control over the quality of the proposed range and pricing policy.
In April-May, 13,660 (7,740 mobile and 5,920 permanent) fairs were organized across the country, to which over 62,100 tons of products were delivered at affordable prices.
According to data as of 14 May, 6.5 thousand tons of meat, 11.7 thousand tons of potatoes, 6.8 thousand tons of onions, 4.4 thousand tons of carrots, 2.6 thousand tons of rice, 22.9 thousand tons of flour and 3.8 thousand tons of vegetable oil and other necessary food products were purchased at affordable prices by population.
7.1 thousand business entities equipped with about 7 thousand cash registers and payment terminals are involved in retail outlets. Daily monitoring reveals violations in their use: non-cash payment for various reasons may not be available.
On this issue, the state tax service regularly receives complaints from citizens. On the basis of appeals, the issue of the full provision by payment terminals of business entities attached to fairs is carefully studied.
It was established that in 257 cases the necessary equipment was missing, in 118 cases interruptions in operation were detected. As a result, 74 payment terminals were additionally installed, another 183 submitted applications to commercial banks.
The requirements for permanent and mobile fairs are based on full compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, the implementation of high-quality agricultural products and food at affordable prices with the possibility of cash and cashless payments.
