Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the decree of the President on reforming the registration system, from April 1, 2020, citizens without a permanent registration in the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region got the opportunity to purchase real estate. This was reported by the department of public relations of the Ministry of Justice.

According to the decree of the President on reforming the registration system, from April 1, 2020, citizens without a permanent registration in the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region got the opportunity to purchase real estate.

Over the past 70 days, citizens who took advantage of this opportunity have certified in a notary's office 14,851 a contract for the sale of housing: 12,799 in the city of Tashkent, 2,052 in Tashkent region.

It should be noted that almost 70 percent of the total number of contracts for the sale of housing executed by notaries in these regions over the past period are transactions involving citizens registered in other regions.

Removing barriers to buying housing in Tashkent, which existed for more than 20 years, also helped solve various problems that citizens faced when buying a house.

In particular, it is no secret that many citizens had to register their property in Tashkent in the name of acquaintances with a permanent residence permit, and then live as a tenant in their own house. With the adoption of the decree of the head of state, this opportunity was first taken advantage of by such citizens and designed housing in their own name.

Undoubtedly, the decree of the President was a cardinal turn in guaranteeing such important rights of citizens as the right to free movement and the right to own housing.
