About 1,220 young people take part in IUT entrance exams
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 1,220 prospective students took part in the entrance examinations of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT), which took place in the capital city of Uzbekistan from 19 to 20 July 2018.
The admissions process of Inha University in Tashkent started on 25 May 2018. Till 12 July 2018, applicants had chance to submit their documents online or in person in the university’s premises. Inha University in Tashkent created all necessary conditions for prospective students to submit their applications in the premises of the university.
All the documents from the prospective students were accepted online through a special system, which was developed by the university’s specialists. The system allowed prospective students from all regions of Uzbekistan to submit their documents to IUT without visiting Tashkent.
During the application period, over 1,300 prospective students registered at the IUT admission system and 1,219 of them met all criteria and allowed to take part in the entrance exams, approved by Inha University in Korea.
About 883 of them applied to School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and 336 – to School of Logistics (SOL).
In 2018-2019 academic year, Inha University in Tashkent will accept 420 students, including 300 students to the SOCIE and 120 students to the SOL.
At the same time, forty-one students of Pre-University Courses were admitted to Inha University in Tashkent in the result of Pre-University Final Exam, which was held on 19 June 2018. About 34 students were accepted to the SOCIE and 7 young people to the SOL. They also participated in the entrance exams in an attempt to clinch one of 10 Founders’ Grants.
Entrance exams to Inha University in Tashkent were held in the premises of the SC “Republican center of exhibition-fair trade by goods of people consumption” (Uzko‘rgazmasavdo) in Tashkent.
The exams were held separately for prospective students of the SOCIE and SOL. The entrance examinations for applicants, who applied to the School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE), were held on 19 July 2018. Young people, who wished to study logistics, took part in the entrance exams on 20 July 2018.
The prospective students, who plan to study at the SOCIE, participated in math and physics exams, while those, applied to the SOL, took the math exams.
Professors of Inha University in South Korea prepared all examination questions. Proctors brought the questioners with themselves in sealed boxes and opened before the exams, and distributed to the prospective students.
After exams, the Korean proctors collected the examination papers. They took the papers to the Republic of Korea for reviewing the results. The results of the entrance exams will be announced on 6 August 2018.
Inha University in Tashkent pays considerable attention to ensuring transparency and openness of the entrance examinations.
In particular, to ensure the transparency, Inha University in Tashkent provided opportunity for all interested people to observe entrance exam process via video-streaming at the webpage live.inha.uz. The webpage is located in TAS-IX zone, which ensures high speed of streaming within Uzbekistan. Taking into account that majority of providers do not charge TAS-IX traffic, the users will also save their money.

As a tradition, the representatives of mass media were also invited to the entrance exams, so they can see with their own eyes that the exams are held in open and transparent manner.
