The Head of the Government of Uzbekistan noted that Uzbekistan considers Tatarstan as an important partner in Russia.
“We are interested in further strengthening of trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural interaction. Your republic is one of the most economically developed regions of Russia. I hope that representatives of our business circles will find many interesting contacts,” Abdulla Aripov said.
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan stated that enterprises of Uzbekistan can expand supply of modern passenger cars to Tatarstan, a wide range of textile, tanning and footwear products, electrical and mechanical equipment, construction materials, food products.
According to him, Uzbekistan, in its turn, is interested in purchasing various electrical equipment, petrochemicals, wood, paper, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and other products in Tatarstan.
“We propose to establish long-term partnership between manufacturers and trade networks of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan,” Abdulla Aripov added.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Abdulla Aripov for attention paid to development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. He expressed hope that the visit of the delegation of Tatarstan will contribute to strengthening trade, economic and humanitarian ties.
During the meeting, the sides discussed measures to further enhance economic cooperation in such areas as petrochemicals, machine building, food industry, tourism and education.
Following the talks in the presence of Abdulla Aripov and Rustam Minnikhanov, five memorandums on cooperation between representatives of large industrial and energy companies of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan were signed.
